The overall objective is to contribute to poverty eradication and sustainable development by improving the social, environmental and human rights situation associated with the whole production and life cycle chain ( from extracting raw materials to end products and electronic waste)of next – generation consumer electronics.
Specific objectives:
- raise awareness among key stakeholders ( young consumers and consumer electronic companies ) by presenting concrete cases to the key stakeholders using different tools
- realising fact – finding studies in EU and developing countries
- capacity building in CEE countries concerning social, environmental and human rights situation in electronic industry
- facilitating dialogue and discussion among key stakeholders: consumers, consumer organisations and brand companies
