KARAT Coalition

The core programs of KARAT are: Women’s Rights, Economic Justice and Gender and Development. The programs are implemented through activities which are part of concrete projects as well as non-project based (statutory) activities. The activities include research, advocacy, lobbying, networking, campaigns and capacity building broadly focusing on rights of women from the our Region. KARAT as a regional Coalition of gender focused NGOs and individuals from Central and Eastern European and Central Asian countries strives to respond to the needs of its members and to involve possibly largest number of them in the implemented programs (i.e. it places emphasis on implementation of regional projects). Further, KARAT is involved in initiatives, activities and programs implemented by other organizations that benefit KARAT members in particular, and women from our Region in general.
